Minimum Retirement Age (MRA) and Service Requirements
- Federal employees may be eligible for immediate retirement at MRA with at least 30 years of serviceat age 57, or at age 60 with 20 years, or at age 62 with 5 years.
- An “MRA + 10” benefit allows employees to retire at MRA with as little as 10 years of service, but the benefit is reduced by 5% for each year the employee is under age 62 unless postponed.
